Martin Stevens, Commissary
The long line every lunchtime at the Commissary is the fault of the talented Martin Stevens, the studio chef responsible for such delicious favorites as Victor Raven's Chinese Chicken Salad, Dr. Jugular's Braised Beef Brisket Sandwich, and the Tori Spelling Southwestern Baked Potato Bar. Trained as a chef at the Culinary Institute in Hyde Park, New York, Martin started a family while working at the redeye grill in Cleveland. After moving up to stints as Les Chez and the Heights Bistro, Martin was invited to study in LA with such greats as Wolfgang Puck. He has been treating Sunrise employees to his delicious creations since 1985.
Sunrise Studios paid Martin $400,000 as compensation for his son's death.
