"Billy's mother! Nice twist huh? Didn't see it comin' did ya?"

—Mickey to Sidney and Gale.

This is a fan page for Mickey, the secondary, though superior killer of Scream 2.

The best things about Mickey

  • Only Ghostface killer to be a serial killer beforehand. Mickey was an active serial killer before he donned the Ghostface persona, which is unique to him.
  • Was able to kill two armed cops.
  • Besides Stu, is the funniest killer. Much like Stu, he didn't really have a valid reason for the murders. However, Mickey was a psychotic serial killer and Stu merely did the murders for "fun". Mickey is Stu's equivalent in the real-life sequel.
  • Other than Roman Bridger, Mickey is the least suspicious Ghostface killer because he was a background character, though, unlike Roman, was close to Derek and Sidney and also had more screen time.
  • Got revenge on Cici for her comments in class (through Mrs. Loomis).
  • Was able to successfully convince Sidney that Derek was his partner, playing on Sidney's trauma with Billy.
  • Took 16 gunshots to kill him.
  • Arguably the second scariest Ghostface killer (after Jill). Even Stu, who had no reason to start killing, was at least influenced by Billy. Mickey was already a serial killer before becoming Ghostface and he had no reason to do so other than personal enjoyment. All that had to happen for Mickey to become Ghostface was to be encouraged and assisted by Mrs. Loomis. Mickey's plan was elaborate, to the degree that he enrolled into Sidney's college, became her friend and started killing people in a copycat fashion so as to eventually, in his eyes, be released and gain fame and fortune from the murders. But Mickey had absolutely no reason to start killing people other than because he already was and wanted more of a challenge.
  • First Ghostface to be betrayed by their accomplice.
  • Mickey is the only Ghostface that wanted to get caught eventually, hoping to actually get released after shifting the blame and making himself into a victim, where he would then make a fortune off of publicity and then be immortalized. Even Mrs. Loomis thought this was insane.
  • Only Ghostface to use movies as an excuse. Even Billy and Stu accepted their psychosis.
  • Scream208

    Mickey killing Maureen Evans.

Body count: at least five. Killed: Maureen EvansOfficer Andrews, Officer Richards, Hallie McDaniel, and Derek Feldman.
  • The craziest ghostface, along with Stu.
  • Only Ghostface to commandeer an automobile.
  • Had a rather good friendship with Randy Meeks, unlike his rocky relationships with the previous killers, Billy Loomis and Stu Macher. He was also the only victim in Scream 2 Mickey wasn't involved in his death.

Mickey knocked out after hijacking the police car.

  • Killed someone in front of tons of people and successfully got away.
  • Most impulsive Ghostface. As his goal was to get caught eventually, he was more risky as he went after Sidney and Hallie in the middle of the streets, chased after Sidney in the play rehearsal, used the school computers to taunt sidney and, lastly, stabbed Maureen to death in a crowded movie theater.
  • Visibly sadistic. You can see his head turn with pleasure as he stabs Maureen in the opening scene of Scream 2.
  • In the opening of Scream 2, Dewey says that the killer is probably already in Sidney's life, because they "get off on that". This is foreshadowing alluding to Mickey, as he was one of Sidney's best friends.
  • Mickey was the one talking to Sidney on the computers because he was the only one who had access to the school library's computers.
  • Mickey was the one who attacked Sidney during her play rehearsal because he was in the theater around that time and was also more impulsive than Mrs. Loomis.
  • Mickey was the one who was filming Gale and Dewey in the auditorium, while Mrs. Loomis was the one who attacked and chased them.
  • Was a far superior killer to Mrs. Loomis. He was focused, unlike Mrs. Loomis who was clumsy, and was also strong, and fast.
  • Seeing as how Mickey wanted to gain infamy from the murders, it was likely Mickey's idea to have the first sequel victims have similar names to the original Ghostface victims.
  • Maybe besides Roman Bridger, Mickey is the most skillled Ghostface.
  • Mickey and Hallie's Death-0

Mickey upon stabbing and killing his girlfriend, Hallie, to death.

Was able to trick Sidney and the rest that he was sane and their friend.
  • As Mickey was Derek's best friend, the audience was led to believe that Mickey was the Stu while Derek was the Billy. However, this was a clever red herring.
  • Had an obsession with films, and often filmed his murders.
  • It is possible Mickey was the one who attacked Gale at the film school, then left for Sidney as Mrs. Loomis awaited Gale in the recording room.
  • He and Mrs. Loomis are the first copycat murderers of the Scream franchise.
  • A deleted scene in Scream 2 confirmed Mickey and Hallie were a couple, meaning that Mickey killed his own girlfriend without remorse. One could argue that he only began dating Hallie to get closer to Sidney.
  • Mickey was the Ghostface who messed with Sidney's head to the greatest extent, aside from Roman Bridger. He not only mocked her for failing to trust, and, thus, save Derek, but also for her dead mother.
  • As confirmed in the Scream 2 DVD commentary, Mickey is the reason Sidney went into hiding in the third film, as he was actually her friend at college, unlike Mrs. Loomis.
  • He was described as "20's, athletic, cool and rowdy" in the script.
  • In the original script, Mickey was innocent and was stripped to his underwear and chained by his Greek brothers for declaring his love for Hallie over them. Sidney eventually untied him, but he was then stabbed to death simultaneously by two killers (Who would've been Hallie and Derek). This role was given to Derek, and Mickey ended up with Derek's film obsession and being Ghostface.
  • In Mickey's first appearance, Mickey states that "many sequels have surpassed their original" which is meant to indicate that he intends on making his and Mrs. Loomis' killing spree better than the killing spree Billy Loomis and Stu Macher orchestrated in the first film.
  • In the Scream 2 DVD commentary, Wes Craven likens Mickey to Iago; both characters deftly cast suspicion.
  • Mickey is the first killer to both unmask himself in front of Sidney, and wear the Ghostface costume.
  • Mickey wore the mask with the voice changer inside.
  • Although being the secondary antagonist, Mickey killed the most people in Scream 2 since he was hired by Mrs. Loomis to help her execute the copycat killing spree which would allow her to take her revenge undetected.
