Scream: S20

Scream S20 is a direct sequel to the original Scream movie. It retcons every sequel (Screams 2-4), therefore, all the events, deaths, killers, and twists of Scream 2, 3, and 4 do NOT exist. This was an idea made by Donald Newton, but when he had trouble writing it, the Noah Killer took over to finish the work.

Plot and Settings

Twenty years after the events of the original Woodsboro murders, Ghostface killer Billy Loomis, who survived being shot and has been in prison, escapes to finish off Sidney, Dewey, Gale, and Randy, whom all have children now. Billy will target their children and their friends to hurt them.

Characters

BILLY LOOMIS/GHOSTFACE (37): Billy Loomis is the Ghostface and Killer of the story. He was the main killer in the original Scream movie. He survived being shot by his girlfriend Sidney and has been in prison for twenty years. He escapes one night and plans on taking his revenge against the Woodsboro survivors by targeting them and their families and friends.

SIDNEY PRESCOTT-BISHOP (37): Sidney is the lead final girl. After surviving the events of the first movie, she has been married to Negan Bishop, who she has a daughter with. She is very protective of her daughter and is happy to see her NOT dating a psychopath like Billy. Sidney ultimately knows that Billy will come for her one day, and has taken martial arts lessons to face her old psychotic boyfriend one day. Now, that day has come.

DEWEY RILEY (45): Dewey is now the Sheriff of Woodsboro and husband of Gale, whom he has a son with. He has kept a close eye on Billy's time in prison. But when Billy escaps from prison, he must protect his wife, son, Sidney, and the rest of their family and friends from Billy, who has returned to finish off where he started.

GALE WEATHERS-RILEY (50): Gale is a former reporter, author, and the wife of Dewey, whom she has as son with. After the events of the first movie, she wrote a book about the events, but quit her job to marry Dewey, who is now Sheriff of Woodsboro.

RANDY MEEKS (37): Randy returns as a survivor. Due to this story retconning all of the sequels, including Scream 2, where Randy was killed, this Randy is alive and still living in Woodsboro. Randy ended up marrying a woman, whom he has a daughter with, but has since been divorced and raising their daughter alone. He owns the only video store left in Woodsboro with the new age of Netflix and online streaming taking over the movie business.

MAUREEN BISHOP (16): Maureen is the secondary final girl and the daughter of Sidney and Negan. She is dating Scott Riley, the son of Dewey and Gale, who is devoted to her. Maureen wants to live a normal life but is limited due to her mother's fears of Billy escaping to kill her. She becomes a final girl along with her mother.

SCOTT RILEY (16): Scott is the son of Dewey and Gale and the boyfriend of Maureen Bishop. He is unlike his parents, whom are either a dork (Dewey) or a stuck up fame seeker (Gale). He is a decent and kind athlete. He is very devoted to Maureen and is protective of her when news of Billy's escape is out. He may become the hero that his father should have been in the original movie.

KELLY MEEKS (16): Kelly is Randy's daughter and serves as the teen's traiditional movie geek, following in her father's infamous footsteps. She is a female version of her father and has a crush on Ken Butler, a beloved athlete at Woodsboro high.

KEN BUTLER (16): Ken is good friends with Scott and is a star athlete at Woosboro High. Despite being the most popular guy in school, beloved by many girls, Ken has a crush on the nerdy Kelly Meeks, who shares these feelings with him.

BELLA TAYLOR (16): Bella is the traditional blonde best friend (Tatum/Kirby/Brooke). She is dating Justin Foley and is very sweet and cool like Kirby. She will become a target of Billy Loomis for her friendship to Sidney's daughter.

JUSTIN FOLEY (16): Justin is the traditional jock boyfriend of the blonde best friend. Having no involvement with any rape unlike his 13 Reasons Why character, he is very friendly and kind to everyone. He will become a target of Billy Loomis for his friendship with Sidney's daughter.

DEBBIE SALT-LOOMIS (60): Debbie is introduced in this story as a completely different character from her Scream 2 character, which has been retcon. Debbie is a sweet, loving, and caring person who lives with shame and guilt over the events of the first movie. She is broken by her son's murder spree. And when he escapes from prison, she'll do anything to stop him from hurting innocent people, even if it means standing up to him herself.

NEGAN BISHOP (40): Negan is Sidney's husband, whom he has a daughter with. He use to belong to a biker gang called "The Saviors", whom were actually good guys unlike in TWD. Negan is tough, devoted to his wife and daughter, and very protective of them. He vows to destroy Billy upon learning that he escaped from prison.

COTTON WEARY (47): Cotton has been exonerated from being accused of murder since the events of the first movie. He milked his fame into politics and has become the Mayor of Woodsboro. As a result, he a difficult work relationship with Sheriff Riley. Billy is not happy with how he's used his story to get elected into office.

Chapters

Chapter 1

We OPEN outside the CALIFORNIA STATE PRISON (ORANGE COUNTY) and find a car approaching the main gate. A guard checks the car. After confirming the car's passengers' appointment, the guard opens the gate and the car drives into the gated prison. The car parks in the guest parking lot. The passengers exit. They are BRITISH JOURNALIST -- MARTIN HALL (40) and DANA REESE (30). They pull out their recording equipment which consists of headphones, tape recorder, and tapes. They walk to the main door, where they are escorted inside by another guard. The guard escorts them to main lobby and tells them that they'll be allowed in a moment. Meanwhile, Dana sets the recording up and presses the record button on the tape recorder and Martin begins the story's session.

MARTIN: We are here to investigate a prisoner, Billy Loomis, a serial killer that killed eight people in 1995 and 1996, along with his partner Stu Macher. They first killed Billy's girlfriend's mother, Maureen Prescott in 1995. Then a year later, they continued their murders and killed Steve Orth, Casey Becker, their school's principal Arthur Himbry, Stu's girlfriend Tatum Riley, and news cameraman Kenny Jones.

As this occurs, Martin is looking at pictures of the victims and of BILLY LOOMIS (17) and STU MACHER (17). He pulls out another picture -- SIDNEY PRESCOTT (17).

MARTIN: Both killers revealed themselves to Billy's girlfriend, Sidney Prescott, their main target. Stu Macher did not specify his motive for the killings. But Billy claimed that his motive was over the divorce of his parents due to his father having an affair with Sidney's mother, Maureen. Sidney killed Stu by throwing a TV over his head. Then moments later, Sidney shot Billy in the forehead. However, despite the way he was shot in the head, Billy miraculously survived, although at the cost of him being in a one year coma. After recovering and being released from the hospital, Billy was put on trial and was found guilty on all counts and sentenced to life in prison without parole. And for the last twenty years, he has been serving time in the California State Prison.

The Guard returns with the WARDEN, who greets the journalist. They are allowed in and they follow the Warden and the guard out to the main outdoors area for the prisoners. They walk to an area where the prisoners are just standing there. All of the prisoners are chained to a weight connected to the floor. They walk to a PRISONER in the middle, surrounded by other prisoners. As they approach the prisoner, the other prisoners, guards, and the guard dogs turn to them with a "What are you doing?" look. Martin stands behind the prisoner. Martin says, "Hello, Billy." The prisoner (BILLY LOOMIS) asks for the purpose of Martin's visit. Martin informs him that they're doing a documentary on Woodsboro, more specifically his murder spree and was wanting to talk to him about it.

The Prisoner faces Martin and Dana and we see for the first time in twenty years -- BILLY LOOMIS (37), still handsome yet creepy as hell. He has scrubby facial hair and a big white scar in the middle of his forehead where Sidney had shot him in the first movie. Billy smiles at them and asks them what you would like to know. Martin and Dana glance at each other. They're creeped out by his manner and vibe. But yet, they're still intrigued by him. Martin tells Billy that he has something that he thinks that Billy would like to see. Martin proceeds to pull something out of his bag. The guard dog senses what it is and starts to whimper in fear. The other prisoners are also reacting abnormal over this. They are either giggling, trembling in fear, or just standing there in shock.

Upon pulling out this item, which we don't see, the dogs start barking intensively and the prisoners start chanting. Some even shrieking in fear over what they see. Even the guards are horrified by what is presented to Billy. Suddenly, the other prisoners' chanting makes them appear to be praising and bowing to Billy Loomis like he's their God. Billy stares at the unseen item like a man lusting after his true love after not seeing her in over twenty years. And we finally see what this item is -- THE GHOSTFACE MASK. The SAME EXACT MASK that Billy and Stu used in their killing spree in 1996. The Warden and the guards cannot believe what they are seeing. Why would this dumbass bring the mask here? Why would he bring something that trigger any possible behavior from Billy? Is this guy gonna be trouble? Billy response to this is to laugh manically, but nothing else. He keeps laughing until we cut to black.

We CUT -- DEBBIE SALT-LOOMIS'S HOUSE -- We find DEBBIE SALT-LOOMIS (60), Billy's mother, sitting on her chair and being visited by SIDNEY PRESCOTT-BISHOP (37) and her husband NEGAN BISHOP (40). Debbie is nothing like her character in Scream 2. In this story, she is sweet, kind, and loving. Almost like a mother figure to Sidney. Debbie tells Sidney that every year she visits the graves of Maureen, Casey, Steve, Himbry, Tatum, and Kenny, apologizing to them for what she has done. Sidney tells Debbie that she did nothing wrong. Debbie reminds Sidney that she abandoned her own son for the actions of his father. And that is why Billy went crazy and killed innocent people. Debbie calls herself a bad mother. Sidney says that she's a good mother and that this was all Billy's fault and not hers.

Debbie tells Sidney that she doesn't blame her mother (Maureen) over what happened either. She points out that her marriage to Hank was already fading. But that the affair between Hank and Maureen was the final nail in the coffin. It was confirmation to Debbie that it was over between her and Hank. Debbie tells Sidney that if anything, her mother did her a favor. Because now she was free from the pain she felt with being married to a man like Hank. Sidney smiles over this. Debbie has given Sidney signs that despite her actions, Maureen was a good woman. Sidney says that she wishes that her mother were alive now to be friends with Debbie, whom says that she wishes the same thing. This implies that Debbie has no animosity towards Maureen.

To change the subject, Debbie says, "Speaking of Maureen, how is your daughter (also named Maureen)?" Sidney and Negan says that she's doing great and that she's in her junior year in high school. Sidney pulls out her phone and shows Debbie a picture of her daughter MAUREEN BISHOP (16). Debbie smiles upon seeing Maureen. She states that she is so beautiful and looks just like a young Maureen Prescott. Sidney agrees and says that Maureen is all that she has left of her mother. Not only by her name but by her close resemblance to her. Debbie states that Maureen Prescott would be proud to have a granddaughter like Maureen Bishop. Sidney agrees. She tells her that her biggest loss of her mother was that she did not live to see herself become a grandmother.

An emotional Debbie says that she knows what she means. Debbie reminds her that Billy is her only child and now she will never know what it means to be a grandmother. This hits Sidney really hard. Their lives have been affected badly by Billy's action. Debbie also mentions that Ray and Melanie Macher (I just made up names) won't know what it's like to have grandchildren either because of Stu. And Stu is dead. After a pause of emotions, Sidney states that she and Negan got other things to do. So the three stand up from their seats. Sidney and Debbie hug each other in a mother-daughter way. Debbie kisses her on the cheek and thanks her for stopping by.

Sidney says anytime. Then Debbie and Negan. Debbie asks Negan to take care of Sidney for her, which Negan says that he will. Debbie watches Negan and Sidney drive away from her window. She is very emotional and it's clear to us that she is very broken by everything that has happened. After the Bishops have driven off, Debbie turns to a picture of her, Billy, and Hank during happier times before the affair, the divorce, and the murders. Debbie proceeds to sob over this. She wonders what to do with her life now that she’s had her meeting with Sidney and her family is gone. Fade to black.

Chapter 2

At the WOODSBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT -- A police officer, LOCKETT (30s), knocks on the office door of SHERIFF DEWEY RILEY (45). Dewey asks Lockett what is up. Lockett informs Dewey that the Mayor is there to see him. Dewey nods and tells Lockett to bring him in. Lockett tells the Mayor that the Sheriff will see him now. The Mayor walks into Dewey's office and we recognize him as COTTON WEARY (47), the man who Sidney accused of killing her mother in the first movie. He is now the Mayor of Woodsboro after having milked his fame from being exonerated. Cotton says hello to Dewey, who says hello back. Cotton asks Dewey if he heard about this British Journalist named Martin Hall interviewing Billy Loomis on the Woodsboro Murders. Dewey confirms that he has heard about this.

Cotton asks if he plans on interviewing Sidney, which Dewey confirms, adding that he gave her advice on how talk to Martin about things. Cotton says that he hopes that Sidney tells Martin the full truth about him (Cotton). Dewey tells him that Sidney has already told everyone the truth about him being innocent and that he should let it go and move on from that. Everyone knows that Cotton Weary is innocent. Cotton tells Dewey to watch his mouth and to show him respect. Dewey apologizes to him. Cotton reminds Dewey who he's talking, which Dewey says, "Yes, sir." Despite Dewey's clear hate for Cotton, he must respect him. This is because as Mayor of Woodsboro, Cotton is Dewey's boss. Cotton tells Dewey to have a good day and leaves. Dewey just shakes his head as Cotton leaves.

WE CUT TO -- RILEY HOUSE -- GALE WEATHERS-RILEY (50) is sitting on her couch and watching the news. The news coverage is about Martin Hall doing a documentary on the Woodsboro Murders, which the news woman announces that the 20th Anniversary of the murders is coming up. In an interview that Martin had with the news woman, he mentions that he was a big fan of Gale Weathers and her book on the Woodsboro Murders, and how it inspired him to investigate real life serial killers like Billy Loomis. Martin says that he hopes that Gale Weathers writes more books. The news woman mentions that Gale hasn't been writing since she married Sheriff Dewey Riley and gave birth to a son. This hits Gale hard. Because this is the truth. She only wrote one book and she misses the writing.

We CUT TO -- Gale is in her office and staring at her laptop screen. She thinks for a moment before sighs. She tells herself that it's time to reinvent herself. But as she thinks, she realizes that she can't write. She is suffering from writer's block extremely bad. She proceeds to type what she says; "I HAVE NO FUCKING IDEA WHAT TO WRITE!" Then she slams her laptop down in frustration. She slugs down her coffee, laced with vodka. It's obvious that she's not very happy with her life. She has a husband that she loves and a son that she adores. But she doesn't have the career of her dreams. She turns to a photo of her, Dewey, and their son SCOTT (16). She smiles at it, giving her more good feelings and thoughts about her life. They are all that gives her a reason to keep on living.

We CUT TO -- MEEKS VIDEO STORE -- RANDY MEEKS (37) is behind the counter of his video store. Only certain people like older people or geeks who have nostalgia for VHS and earyl DVDs are here. This hints that these are the type of people who don't care for online streaming or getting your rented movies through the mail. A BEAUTIFUL LADY (Mid to late 30s) comes up to the counter to pay for her rentals. She keeps smiling at Randy and giving him the "eye." It takes Randy a moment to finally see it. He smiles back at her. It's clear that the lady has a crush on Randy. After she pays for her rented movies, she signs a card for the store and hands it to Randy. After the beautiful lady leaves the store, Randy looks at the card. It has her phone number with the request to call her. Randy smiles over this.

Moments later, two NERDY BOYS (both 19) approach the counter with their horror movies and video games. They tell Randy that their little brothers told them to get movies and games here, which was suggested by the store's owner's daughter. Randy informs them that is his daughter Kelly. The boys finally remember Kelly as Kelly Meeks. Then they see Randy's name on his nametag. Then it finally hits them to who he is -- RANDY MEEKS. They remember the story about Randy surviving the Woodsboro murders and they geek out over him. One of the boys mentions that he was stabbed in the shoulder by Billy Loomis. Randy corrects him that he was actually shot instead of being stabbed. The other boy states that he heard that Randy was killed in college. But Randy says that he is alive and well. He tells them that if he wasn’t virgin, but it might be a different story.

We CUT TO -- PRESCOTT/BISHOP HOUSE -- Sidney and Negan are sitting on their couch with Martin sitting across from them. Dana is sitting to the side of them and recording their interview. Martin thanks Sidney for agreeing to do this interview. Sidney says that it is no problem. She got over the pain a long time ago and is willing to talk about it. Martin points out that it's been twenty years since Billy Loomis murdered six people. He asks how Sidney's life has adjusted after the murders. Sidney tells him that it was hard at first. She didn't know who to trust, get close to in fear of losing them, and would have nightmares. But after a while, she got over it all. She got married to Negan and gave birth to their beautiful daughter, Maureen, and that they have been her inspiration to keep on living in a normal life after such traumatic event.

Negan smiles over Sidney's comment about him. He is honored to be her husband and inspiration. It's clear to us that Negan and Sidney are in love and happy together as a married couple. Martin reminds Sidney that on the night that the murders ended that she shot Billy in the head but that he survived. Sidney nods with remembrance of this. Martin says that Billy has been living in prison for the last twenty years and that she hasn't spoken to Billy since testifying against him at his trial. So Martin asks her that after twenty years if she has anything to say to Billy. Sidney takes a moment to think about her answer. Then she says, -- "No." She tells Martin that she said everything to Billy that she needed to say to him at his trial and that she would like to never see or speak to him again for the rest of her life. Martin says that he won’t bother her anymore then, and he leaves. Cut to black.

Chapter 3

At WOODSBORO HIGH SCHOOL -- We meet MAUREEN BISHOP (16 - Sidney and Negan's daughter). She looks exactly like a young Maureen Prescott (her grandmother). Her boyfriend is SCOTT RILEY (16 - Dewey and Gale's son). And their best friend walking with them is KELLY MEEKS (16 - Randy's daughter). Kelly is very much a female version of her father. She is our traditional teen movie geek, following in her dad's footsteps. They are walking out of school to go home as Kelly is speaking about the differences between the original Halloween movie by John Carpenter and the remake version by Rob Zombie. For nostalgia and suspense reasons, she favors the original Halloween movie. But for blood and gore, she likes the remake. Maureen says that Jamie Lee Curtis is the better Laurie.

Scott and Kelly agree with Maureen. Scott states that Scout Compton Taylor is a very hot Laurie. But that she has nothing on Jamie Lee Curtis. He states that the only good thing about the remake is Danielle Harris and Brad Dourif as Annie and Sheriff Brackett. Maureen and Kelly agree as the three kids reminisce on Danielle's portrayal of Laurie's daughter Jamie Lloyd in Halloween 4 and 5. Kelly says that she believes the worst part about the remake was the portrayal of Dr. Loomis by Malcolm McDowell. She says that McDowell is a great actor but that Rob Zombie disrespected Donald Pleasence by how he written Loomis in the movie, especially his remake sequel. Scott jokingly says that other only good thing about the Zombie remakes is that it had more nudity.

Scott chuckles as Maureen playfully elbows him over the nudity comment. Scott and Maureen proceed to kiss. Kelly is jealous over this. Not that she likes Scott. But that she is jealous that her friends are dating and she is very lonely, much like her father was with watching Sidney and Billy together. Maureen sees the look on Kelly's face and they apologize to her for kissing in front of her. Kelly tells them that it's alright. She says that they don't need to sympathize with her. Maureen and Scott feel very bad for Kelly. They hear their friends JUSTIN FOLEY and BELLA TAYLOR (both 16) laughing and talking with their other friends -- THE JOCKS. One of them is KEN BUTLER (16). Kelly stares at Ken with crushing eyes. Ken notices her and gives her that crushing smile. Ken secretly likes Kelly.

But Kelly doesn't know this. However, Scott notices the look that Ken is giving her. Besides as she watches him, two HOT GIRLS come by his side and he puts his arms around them. To Kelly this is a sign that Ken would rather be with hot cheerleaders or models than a nerdy girl with glasses like herself. Seriously, we're meant to feel bad for this poor girl. Justin and Bella say goodbye to their friends. When Ken realizes that they're going with the group that Kelly is with, he asks them if he can join them without telling them why. They accept and Ken joins them. Now we see the main group of our story's teens together -- Maureen, Scott, Kelly, Ken, Bella, and Justin. The six walk together away from the school as they begin to talk about their day. Kelly and Ken glance at each other back and forth.

Maureen says that today their parents are being interviewed by some British Journalist about the Woodsboro Murders. Ken is shocked by this as he finally realizes who the main trio is. But Bella and Justin have heard their stories a million times. Ken is still new to this group. So he's the one asking the questions; "Your mom is Sidney Prescott?", "Your parents is the Sheriff and Gale Weathers?", "Your father is Randy?" The Trio nonchalantly nod their heads. This isn't the first time that they've had to confirm these questions. They've spent most of their lives doing this. It's the only thing that people know about them. Ken remembers a rumor and asks Kelly, "I thought that Randy, your father, was killed while in college by Billy Loomis's mother after insulting Billy over the phone with her."

Kelly laughs over this and informs Ken that Billy's mother did NOT kill her dad, who is alive and well and still running the last remaining video store in Woosboro. Ken asks where that story came from. Kelly tells him that it was just a stupid rumor that people made up to make Billy's family look bad. Maureen informs Ken that the rumors got bigger and that people accused Debbie of being a killer and taught Billy to kill. She adds that the rumors got so bad that Debbie had isolated herself to protect herself from being harassed. But Maureen, Scott, and Kelly debunk this, saying that Debbie is a sweet, caring, and innocent woman who would never hurt a soul. Ken apologizes to Kelly for bringing up the rumor about Randy's "murder." Kelly says that it's no problem and smiles at him.

It is now that Maureen finally notices the smiles that Kelly is giving Ken. She whispers to Scott that she thinks that Kelly likes Ken. Then Scott whispers back that he thinks that Ken likes Kelly. Maureen says that they should get them together. Scott agrees and says that he'll talk to Ken about it. What good friends Maureen and Scott are. They first go by the Meeks house, which is where Kelly lives. She says goodbye to everyone. Then she gives Ken a crushing smile and says goodbye to him in a cute way. Ken smiles back and says bye in a similar way. This is noticed by everyone. Kelly walks into her house and the group continues walking on. Scott asks Ken if he likes Kelly.

Ken says that she's cool. But Scott says that he knows that smile that he gave her, which is the smile of a guy who likes a girl. Maureen says that she knows when a guy likes a girl and Ken has that vibe when he talks to Kelly. Bella and Justin agree, stating that they've caught him watching Kelly from a distance before. An embarrassed Ken caves in and finally admits that he really likes Kelly. Everyone says, "I KNEW IT!" Maureen tells Ken that he should ask Kelly out, which everyone agrees to. Ken says that he doesn't know. He's concerned about his image as a star athlete and that Kelly is a nerdy girl. Justin tells him that he would look better by dating a non-popular girl and nerd.

It shows that he's a good guy and doesn't care about image. Ken nods and agrees with this idea. Scott asks Ken what he cares about more; his heart or his image. Ken thinks about this and says -- his heart. Ken agrees to ask Kelly out. Everyone cheers him on as he walks back to the Meeks house and knocks on the door. Kelly answers, and Ken tries to bring himself to ask her. Before he does, Kelly says it for him and agrees to go out with him. She says she heard their conversation and comments that they are pretty bad at keeping secrets. Ken agrees with this and asks when Kelly would like to do it.

Just then, Randy pops up and goes boo. Surprisingly, Maureen isn’t provoked, while everyone else is. Randy says that he was testing them, and Maureen is just like Sidney in her prime. Maureen thanks him for that. Randy says that he’ll drive Ken and Kelly to their date when it’s time, and Ken thanks him. Everyone then departs except for Kelly and Randy. Kelly asks what Randy thinks about this. Randy just jokes that it’s a good thing they aren’t in a horror film right now. Kelly dramatically asks “Or are we?” before laughing at the “joke” Randy and Kelly have a hug, completely unaware of their joke was not really a joke. Cut to black.

Chapter 4

We open on California state prison, where Billy is in his large glass cell, lying on the ground and not doing very much. He looks above him and smiles, chuckling to himself. Billy hasn’t had too much to do since being confined here, and all he really wants is to get out of here and finish what he started. Billy says to himself that if he ever gets his hands on Sidney Prescott, her death will be as slow and painful as possible. He does acknowledge that he’s been stuck here for twenty years, and his situation is unlikely to change. Billy says to himself that at least he had fun while it lasted.

Just then, a prison guard comes up and unlocks Billy’s cell. He tells him that he has a phone call. Billy rolls his eyes and says that it’s probably “mom” again. He goes over to the phone and asks what she wants. However, the person on the other end, who has a disoriented voice, says that he’s not Debbie. Billy is surprised by this and asks what this person wants. The person tells Billy that he has a very special surprise coming for him tonight, something that he’s wanted for twenty years. Billy is confused and thinking about what this means. When he asks, the caller hangs up, and Billy is escorted back to his cell.

Billy sits down there and begins thinking to himself again. He wonders who this mysterious caller is, and what the “special surprise” is. He decides to just wait it out and see what happens, since he likes surprises. Later that night, Billy is getting ready to go to bed, but is keeping one eye open in case something happens. Eventually, Billy hears a noise above him and looks up, seeing a figure dressed entirely in black and wearing a hood. The figure, whom we call THE HOOD, signals for Billy to remain quiet. Billy nods, but is extremely interested in this.

After the Hood exits the gate, he hides behind a corner upon hearing a patrolling guard coming. Once the guard comes in, the Hood sneaks up behind him and breaks his neck, killing him. Billy tilts his head in admiration. The Hood then picks up the guard’s key and opens Billy’s cell, letting him come out. Billy says “Alright, you kept your word. You gonna tell me who you are?” The Hood responds by slashing open Billy’s throat, which horrifies him. Billy gurgles on his own blood and tries crawling away, but the Hood stabs him in the neck and twists the knife. Billy Loomis is dead. The story is now over, and the credits roll. Just then, time pauses, and THE NOAH KILLER goes to the screen to address the audience.

THE NOAH KILLER: I liked doing this so much last time that I’ve decided to do this at least one time per story. You REALLY thought that was how I’m gonna kill off Billy, even after he survived a gunshot to the forehead, got into a 1 year coma, and rotted in jail for 20 years, waiting for his revenge? HA! No way man. Here’s what REALLY happened here (steps off the screen).

Time then reminds back to when Billy is questioning the Hood. The Hood says that they will explain later and instructs Billy to get in the air vent. The two proceed to climb through and get out of the prison. The Hood and Billy run toward a car that the Hood has hidden and they drive away. Once they are a considerable distance from the prison, the Hood stops the car in the middle of the woods, and the two get out to talk. After unlocking Billy’s handcuffs, the Hood explains that he is a quite crazy horror fanatic, named ALEX HUGHES (35). He tells Billy that he rescued him because he wants to see him in action and exact his revenge on Sidney. Billy chuckles, before asking if he has a knife.

The Hood gives him is Buck 120 knife, the same kind of weapon that Billy used 20 years ago, and a big spike as a “special weapon”. Alex reveals that he also has another gift for Billy, and hands him some mysterious pills. Billy says that he hates pills, but Alex says that he’ll like these. Alex reveals that these pills enhance combat performance and numb pain, which is extremely useful in a battle. Billy realizes that taking these could be a huge advantage in his final showdown with Sidney. Alex also gives him a tranquilizer gun. He says that he got all this stuff for him because he wants his ensuing killing spree to be “as epic as possible.

Alex tells Billy that he’s so excited for him to go out killing again, and also asks to be thanked for the help he gave him. Bill says “Thanks” before slicing Alex’s throat, much to the latter’s surprise. Billy says that he really needed to that, since it’s been 20 years. As Alex gurgles on his own blood, Billy decides that he will repay Alex for his help by giving him a quick death, and stabs him in the back of the neck, then twists the knife. Alex Hughes, the Hood, and Billy Loomis fanatic, is dead. It’s obvious that even though Alex was helpful, Billy is just batshit crazy. He doesn’t give a flying fuck about anyone anymore. He just wants to get his revenge.

Billy then takes Alex’s car keys, his costume, the weapons, and drives off in the car. He says to himself that he finally has a chance to finish his work 20 years ago, but he needs a place to crash first. Billy thinks about it, and finds a GPS in the car. He sets it to Woodsboro and drives off there. It takes him about an hour, but Billy arrives there and parks the car. He proceeds to put on Alex’s hood costume and resolves to find shelter before morning. Billy wanders around Woodsboro, attracting no attention due to his dark outfit. Eventually, Billy comes across a familiar sight, and smiles.

We see that he is looking at the former house of STU MANCHER, his deceased accomplice in the original murders. He notices that the house is abandoned, and says “I knew I recruited you for a reason, Stu” Billy proceeds to climb inside the house through an open window and explore the place. The house is completely abandoned, nobody here at all. Billy has his hideout and is almost ready to exact his revenge. He look at himself in a mirror, checking out the costume. Billy concludes that this just isn’t the right costume for him, and he needs “Something old” Just then, he gets an idea. Billy looks at the audience and smiles wickedly. Smash to black.

Chapter 5

We cut to the next morning at the Prescott home, where Sidney is getting breakfast ready for Maureen when she wakes up. Negan is sitting on the couch watching some news. Soon, news about Billy escaping comes up. Negan’s eyes widen, and he tells Sidney to come see it. Sidney comes in and sees the news report about Billy escaping. She is shocked and horrified about this. Negan turns the news off to comfort Sidney. Sidney says that she knew this day would come, from the moment she heard that he came out of his coma. She tells Negan they are going to die soon, but Negan puts her hands on Sidney’s shoulders and asks her to look at him. Sidney does.

Negan tells her that Billy will not just walk in here and butcher them. He says that this is isn’t 1996, where Billy and Stu nearly won. He says that this is 2018, where she and the other survivors have grown up. He says that Sidney giving up is exactly what Billy wants, and they will not give him that. Negan asks Sidney if she is a survivor, and demands that she answer honestly. Sidney hesitates, but ultimately says “yes” Negan tells her that survivors don’t just die, and she’s a survivor because she fought back. Negan says that they also have friends, and Billy won’t kill them because they are fighters, and their friends are fighters. Sidney proceeds to hug Negan, saying that she loves him. Negan says that he loves her too.

Sidney asks if they should tell Maureen about this. Just then, Maureen steps in and asks “Tell me what?” They hesitate, but know that it’s necessary. Negan and Sidney inform Maureen that Billy has escaped, much to her shock. Sidney tells Maureen that from now on, they’ll be picking her up from the school and asks that she stay home until Billy is caught. Maureen, knowing how dangerous Billy could be, agrees to be picked up after school. Negan tells Sidney that he’ll take Maureen to school, and asks her to call the others.

After Negan and Maureen leave, Sidney picks up the phone and calls Dewey’s number. Once he answers, Sidney says “Dewey, we have a problem. Call Randy. It’s Billy. He’s back” Later, Dewey, Randy, Gale and Sidney have all gathered up at the Prescott residence to talk about Billy’s escape. Sidney asks Randy if he has any horror film monologues to go through, now is the time. Randy says that he’s missed doing it, though he doesn’t appreciate the circumstances that he’s doing it now. He stands up and tells everyone that this is a REBOOT, and the rules about them are similar to remakes.

1. The death scenes have to be way more extreme.

2. Adult figures are always in the most danger. 3. Virgins can die now.

4. New versions are always 2.0, so the latest technology is always involved and integral to the plot. This means the killer could use new tactics.

6. Don't fuck with the original.

7. If you want to survive in a modern day horror movie, you pretty much have to be gay.

Sidney asks how being gay helps, and Randy just shrugs his shoulders. Randy also says that they are all adult figures now due to having children, so all of them could be in danger of getting killed by Billy. Gale asks how to defeat a reboot killer. Randy says that if Billy survived a gunshot to the head, then there is only one way to kill him for good: decapitation. Randy says that is pretty much it, unless they can find a way to make him explode or something. Dewey says that they could try shooting him in the forehead twice. Randy says “I’m telling ya’ll, decapitation is the key!”

Sidney asks if final girls are safe too, and Randy replies “usually” He says that reboots are usually the start of new sagas, but since this is a solo story, he tells everyone that any one of them could die, including the kids. Gale says that when this is over, her writing career will at least finally have something to do. Dewey asks Gale to keep her writing and reporting urges contained until Billy is stopped again, for the sake of Scott’s safety. Gale, obviously loving her son more than her career, decides to do so. Randy then advices everyone to keep the kids at home at night, pick them up from school, and avoid partying if possible. Everyone then leaves except for Sidney and Negan.

Sidney tells Negan that she’s going to be make a private call, and she goes upstairs. She dials in Debbie’s number, and she answers. Sidney asks if she heard the news, and Debbie says no. Sidney informs her that Billy has escaped from prison, which surprises and horrifies Debbie. She knows that her son could be getting ready to get revenge on Sidney and murder people right now. Debbie says that this can’t be happening. Sidney tells her that she’s so sorry. Debbie abruptly hangs up on Sidney. She looks out her window. Debbie says to herself that Billy can’t be doing this again. She sits on her bed and sobs, distraught at the thought of another killing spree.

We then cut to the Woodsboro high school, where Maureen is meeting up with Kelly, Scott, Ken, Justin and Bella. She asks them if they’ve heard the news about Billy. Scott and Kelly said that their parents made sure that they did. Justin, Ken and Bella are the only ones surprised about this news. Scott tells everyone that Billy is pretty as dangerous as serial killers come. Justin asks if he’s really that tough, and Maureen says “Considering that he survived being shot in the forehead at point black range, I think so” Bella points out that Billy was in a coma for an entire year after that.

Ken says that he’s often heard stories about people who survived being shot in the head, so Billy isn’t exactly the first guy on the planet to survive something like that. Justin says that he’d survive being shot in the head, since he’s tough like that. Bella rolls her eyes. Maureen asks if they should pretty much just go about their day here normally, except for getting picked up by their parents right after. Bella and Justin say that they don’t see why Billy would target them. Kelly says that psychos are pretty much unpredictable, but that won’t stop her date with Ken. Ken says that he appreciates that.

Just then, Maureen says that she has a request. She asks if she and Scott could come with them, so they can have a double date. Scott tells Maureen that’s a great idea, and he’s up for it. Ken and Kelly say that would be great. Bella and Justin asks that the others are forgotten about them. Bella adds that she refuses to be a minor character, since those are the most vulnerable in horror movies. She asks if she and Justin could come. Maureen says that there is only room for four, but Justin and Bella say it’s no problem.

Later that night, we cut to a rest stop near a small gas station, where Dana and Martin (the British reporters) are. They are filling up gas for their small van. Martin says that this is going to be one hell of a story, now that Billy is on the loose again. Dana asks what they should do now. Martin says that they are definitely staying in town until Billy is arrested again or killed. Dana asks if that’s such a good idea. Martin says that Billy has no way of knowing where they are now, and if he wants his mask back, he’s not going to get it. Dana then departs to go to the bathroom.

As she does so, Dana notices a man with black boots walking in the room, but thinks nothing of it. The person knocks on the door, and Dana tells him that someone is in here. However, a large hand appears and drops some marbles in the stall. Dana isn’t sure what to think of that, until the person enters the stall next to her, grabs her foot, and starts pulling her towards him. Dana screams and squirms, completely surprised and horrified. Dana manages to get a look good look at her attacker, who is shown to be Billy, still wearing his hood costume. Dana begs for mercy, but Billy ignores her, pills out his knife and repeatedly stabs her in the chest. Dana Reese, British journalist, is dead.

Back outside, Martin finishes filling up the gas and goes inside, waiting for Dana to come back. He notices someone walking up to the van and, assuming that it’s Dana, unlocks the door for them. However, this allows Billy (the person who was walking up) to enter the vehicle and jump on Martin. He puts his knife on his throat and demands to know where the mask is. Martin yells that he keeps in the trunk of the van, and he also has the costume. He gives him the car keys so he can get it and begs for mercy.

Even though Martin did what he wanted, Billy says that he’s always hated “bitchy journalists” (reference to Gale), and he proceeds to shove the spike down Martin’s throat, shutting him up. Martin Hall, British journalist, is dead. Billy then hijacks the car and drives away in it to Stu’s house. There, Billy goes inside with the costume and positions himself in front of the mirror. He proceeds to put on the costume and stare at the Ghostface mask, the mask that he’s wanted to wear for 20 years now. Billy proceeds to slowly and dramatically put on the Ghostface mask and examine himself in the mirror. Billy Loomis has officially transformed into Ghostface again, having all he needs to continue the Ghostface legacy. Cut to black.

Chapter 6

The next day, Kelly and Ken are out in a park. They're lying on a sheet with food and drinks. This is their double picnic date, with Scott and Maureen next to them. They appear to be having a good time together. We see Kelly extremely happy for the first time that she has been in a while. Ken tells her how happy it makes him to see her smile, which he says is very beautiful. This makes Kelly blush. She thanks him for making her feel beautiful. Ken tells her that he shouldn't have to make her feel beautiful because she is just beautiful enough to know. Kelly says that she just likes hearing him say it.

Kelly looks around, and Ken asks what she’s looking for. Kelly says that she’s just wondering if Billy will pop out of nowhere. Ken reminds her that they are in a populated park in broad daylight, and even Billy wouldn’t be dumb enough to attack them here. Kelly says that’s true, but she’s paranoid sometimes. Ken tells her that life isn’t a horror movie, and the only way that would happen is “if a fanfiction writer with glasses is typing our every move or something” Kelly says good thing that isn’t happening.

Ken says that if that writer killed off Kelly, he's automatically a jerk and would get some pissed off people. Kelly thanks him for that, though she would rather not be killed off in general. Ken says that they should probably get back to it and says this is his first date. Kelly admits that it’s hers too, and so far, she’s having a pretty good time. She jokes about how much Randy would have freaked out if he was dating at the time of Billy’s first killing spree. Ken tells her that she will defy all expectations by surviving Billy’s wrath.

Kelly tells Ken that she’s not exactly a fighter, but Ken says that she just has to believe. Ken says that she thinks Kelly is awesome and a badass girl to have around. This makes Kelly blush again. She says that she sees how Scott and Maureen feel when they have time together. Kelly and Ken look at Scott and Maureen, who are currently kissing. Kelly says that she’s never kissed anyone before, and it must feel really great. She inches up closer to Ken. Ken says that he’s never kissed anyone either, and wonders what it feels like. Ken looks into Kelly’s eyes and calls them pretty. She giggles. They look at each other with tension and desire.

Eventually, Kelly breaks the tension by saying “Oh, just kiss me already!” at which Ken kisses Kelly. Scott and Maureen watch this with great pleasure. Scott says that since they dated a couple of months ago, he’s been having the pleasure Kelly and Ken are now. Maureen says that Sidney was a bit paranoid about her dating at first, due to Billy being a killer. Scott just shrugs and says “Who can blame her?” before asking if he’s proven himself to be totally sane now. Maureen says without a doubt, Scott is not psychotic.

She adds that the only thing he has in common with Billy is how handsome he looks. Scott chuckles at that remark. He says that Gale and Dewey’s relationship was pretty complicated at first, saying that reporters and police officers usually don’t get along. Maureen says “You think that’s bad? My mom used to punch yours” Scott recalls how his deceased aunt, TATUM RILEY, went like “Bam! Bitch went down!” after Sidney punched Gale (Dewey mentioned it to him). Maureen wonders if she’ll ever have a moment like that. Scott shrugs and says we’ll see.

Just then, Kelly and Ken come up. Ken tells Maureen and Scott that Kelly wants to have a party, to celebrate their new relationship. Maureen says that’s going to be pretty hard, considering that their parents will most likely not allow that. Kelly says that she has her ways of convincing people, and asks Scott and Maureen to invite Justin and Bella too. Scott asks where the party will be, and Ken says that they are going to ask Bella if they can do it at her house, since she has a big place. Kelly says that it will be in a couple days, and the others say that they’ll try to be there.

After Kelly and Ken leave, Scott and Maureen decide to walk home. On the way there, they hear some cursing sounds and a female cry in an alleyway. Maureen recognizes that the female cry is Bella and wants to go see her. Since Bella is his friend too, Scott doesn’t stop her, but he does go with her. Once inside, they see her being bullied by two bullies, Brandon and Mandy. Brandon is starting to beat up Bella, who is terrified and defenseless. Justin is also there, but he is unconscious. Scott and Maureen rush over and tell them to get off of Bella.

Mandy says no, and Scott asks what her problem is. Maureen tells Scott that Mandy is Justin’s ex-girlfriend, and she wants him back from Bella. Brandon is just a loyal lackey of hers. Mandy says that Bella deserves this for stealing her man, and tells Maureen and Scott to go away before he has Brandon beat them up to. Maureen and Scott refuse, sticking up for their friend. Mandy then tells Brandon to go beat up Scott and Maureen. Brandon tries to go attack Maureen, but Scott steps him and delivers a hard kick to the groin, much to Brandon’s pain. Mandy tells him to stop being a baby and suck it up.

Brandon weakly attempts to throw a punch, but gets kicked again in the groin by Scott, and this time he stays down. Maureen says that he didn’t know Scott could kick like this. Scott says that it just came to mind, sicne he’s seen women on TV do it all the time. Mandy calls Brandon weak and says that she’ll just do it herself. Scott is hesitant to hit a girl, however, and this allows Mandy to punch Scott in the eye. At this point, Maureen, pissed off, punches Mandy in the nose, breaking it. Mandy shrieks in pain. Upon seeing this, Scott remarks “Bam! Bitch went down!” just like his aunt did. The beaten up Mandy and Brandon proceed to retreat.

Scott and Maureen help up Bella and the now conscious Justin. They ask what happened. Justin says that he would have taken them, but Brandon did a sucker punch on him and knocked him out. Bella thanks Scott and Maureen and tells Maureen that she is officially a “Mini-Sidney” Maureen thanks her for the compliment, before telling her about the party and asking Justin if they can use his house. Justin, grateful for the help, agrees to let them party if they can somehow get their parents to allow it.

As they talk, they are unaware that a familiar dark figure (Billy) is watching their conversation. Billy listens in to where the party is going to be at. Billy realizes that he could this party as an advantage to gather up all the kids and kill them off as a way of hurting the survivors. He proceeds to examine Maureen from a distance and decides to make sure her death is the most painful and agonizing. As Billy leaves, he slowly makes a menacing smile on his face, and decides to start taking out some big targets now that he has everything he needs. Billy takes out a clipboard with pictures of the survivors and wonders who to take out first. Eventually, he decides on who to choose. Cut to black.

Chapter 7

We open on the mayor’s office at nighttime, where it is empty, except for the Cotton. His secretary has already left. And the other employees have left early. So Cotton is by himself to shut off all of the lights in the Mayor's section of town hall. He leaves the building and goes to his car. He finds that it was already unlocked. This puzzles hm. He thought that he had locked it. He shrugs, thinking that maybe he really didn't lock it for certain. Cotton gets into his car. He starts the car and rock music plays. Suddenly -- GHOSTFACE -- comes out from behind him and covers his mouth. Cotton is horrified by this. He knows who this is. Ghostface removes his mask and Billy shows off an angry look his face.

Cotton is even more horrified now that he sees that it's Billy for certain. Cotton asks him what he wants from him as he's not Sidney. Billy reminds Cotton that he's been milking attention over his pain and murders. He doesn't like Cotton getting his attention. Cotton says that he deserves the attention way more than Billy. Billy ignores the remarks and slices the knife across Cotton's throat. Cotton gasps and chokes as his throat bleeds out. Cotton Weary, a "survivor" of the original movie and the Mayor of Woodsboro, is dead. Billy proceeds to exit the car and make his escape from the scene.

A few minutes after, at the Riley house, Scott is telling Dewey and Gale about his plan to have a party with Maureen and the others. Dewey straight up tells Scott “No” He tells her that not even Gale at her worst could make him agree to let Scott go to a party while Billy is on the loose. Gale replies “You wanna bet?” Dewey tells her not now, before telling Scott that he simply can’t allow it. Gale interrupts and asks to talk about it with Dewey. They go upstairs. Dewey asserts that Gale cannot make him allow this. Gale gives him a "Really?" kind of look, and insists that Dewey at least listen to her idea.

Gale suggests that they both go to the party together, to act as like guards. Dewey tilts her head and reminds her that the last time they tried that, he got stabbed in the back and nearly died, Gale nearly ran over Sidney, and Gale herself was close to being killed. Gale says that they’ve changed a lot since then and they could take Billy if she shows up. She also tells Dewey that she finally could get a story to write. Dewey insists that it’s too dangerous and they should just wait until Billy is caught.

Gale tells Dewey that if she, Randy, Dewey and Sidney were all there, Billy would be defeated “just about instantly” She asserts that they could do it, and says that it will be relief to Dewey’s ears when she finally stops complains about writer’s block. Dewey says “Ok, that would be a relief, but-“ Just then, he gets a text. Dewey looks to see a text from Maureen, who tells Dewey and Gale to be at the party. Gale gives Dewey an “I told you so look” Finally, Dewey reluctantly allows Scott to go to the party, but he and Gale are coming with him.

Elsewhere, Randy and Kelly are talking about the party at the videostore, which is about to close. Randy is less hesitant about going, but still wants to accompany Kelly, which Kelly is totally fine with. Just then, Debbie comes in. Randy tells her that they are closed, but takes it back when he realizes who the lady is. Debbie asks Randy if he’s seen signs of a dark figure around here. Randy guesses that she’s looking for Billy, which she confirms. Debbie admits that she wants to face her psychotic son. Randy tells Debbie that she’s taking a huge risk by doing this, but Debbie doesn’t care. She tells Randy that she’s been a broken woman ever since Billy was shot and sent to jail. Debbie tells her that the only way she can get closure is by seeing her son again.

She tells Randy that he would be feeling the same way if Kelly had turned evil for some reason. Randy admits that Debbie is probably right about that, but telling her where Billy might be is against the rules. Debbie tells Randy that the rules were never really with her to begin with. Randy then tells her that Stu’s place has been abandoned, but he saw a car there that was never there before. Debbie thanks Randy for the information and proceeds to leave. As she does, Randy wonders if he made the wrong choice, and Kelly tells him that Debbie would have gone either way. Randy says that is true, and Kelly tells Randy that she won’t be making him do this in 20 years.

Meanwhile, (before the text is sent to Dewey and Gale), at the Prescott Residence, Maureen is telling Negan and Sidney about her plans for a party with Kelly. Sidney gives her a “Are you fucking insane?” type of look. Maureen says that she knows what they are thinking, but Billy has no way of knowing where the party is (unaware of him overhearing it in the alleyway). Sidney is about to say no, but Negan says they should talk privately for a second. They go into the kitchen, and Sidney says that there is no way she is letting this happen. Negan tells her that Maureen is growing up, and reminds her that she just saved her friend (Bella) from an attack.

Sidney says that it takes way more than a punch in the face to stop a guy who got shot in the head and lived. Negan says that their daughter deserves to go to this party and be with her friends. He tells her that if she’s worried about security, then they should go too. Sidney realizes that Negan actually does have a good point. She says that she’ll allow if Dewey and Gale came too, and she says that they’ll readily agree upon learning Scott will be there too. Negan agrees, but advises Sidney not to let the pressure get to her.

He tells her that Billy might show up, but if they do, they’ll be ready for him. Negan insists that he just wants the girl that he loves to have fun at the party, and nobody is going to die under their watch. Sidney thanks Negan for the comforting words, and proceeds to kiss him. They go and tell Maureen that she can go, if they can come too. Maureen agrees to let her parents come, and she’ll text Scott to do something similar. Just then, Sidney gets a call from “Cotton” She is interested to know why the mayor is supposedly calling her and goes upstairs. Once she answers it, she hears the words “Hello Sidney, miss me?”

Sidney rushes to go downstairs, but Billy yells at her not to even think about it. Sidney backs off and asks if Cotton is dead, which Billy confirms. She tells Billy to go back to prison, or hell. Billy says that he’s waited 20 years for this, and he’s not going anywhere. He tells her that he wants to see Sidney suffer again, this time for killing Stu, foiling his plans, shooting him in the head, and getting him locked up for 20 years. Sidney tells Billy that she’s not going through this shit with him again. Billy tells Sidney not to worry, and he won’t be dragging it out as long as last time. He tells her to go the party, and bring everyone with her.

Sidney says that she was already planning on that, and they will be ready for him. Billy says that he wasn’t finished. He tells her that Justin’s place is surrounded by a forest and somewhat isolated (similar to Kirby’s in Scream 4). Billy tells her that if he tells anyone about this call, he’s going to kill Maureen right away. Sidney says that she will gouge out his eyes if he does that. Billy laughs, before adding that he’s missed her attitude. Sidney replies “I haven’t” Billy says that if she follows his instructions and doesn’t tell anyone about this call, then he’ll call her over for a private confrontation.

Sidney tells Billy that she’s going to kick his ass. Billy replies “Oh, I’d love to see you try. We will tomorrow night. Oh, and look out the window” before hanging up. Sidney looks out the window to find Billy (without his costume on) waving to her from a distance. Sidney is seeing her psycho boyfriend for the first time in 20 years. Billy turns around and walks away. Sidney doesn’t stop looking out. She knows now for sure that she can’t run from her past anymore. Soon, she will have to face her fears and put an end to Billy Loomis once and for all.

Chapter 8

We cut to the next morning at Debbie’s place, where’s she’s waking up from bed. She gets up out of bed and tries to make herself breakfast, but cannot find the energy or will to do it. Instead, she just sits in a wooden chair, forlorn. Just then, she gets a text. The text says “Hey there worthless mom. Come over to little Stewie’s house. It’s time we got reacquainted” Debbie, realizing that she has an opportunity to see her son again, gets the will she needs to get out of her seat and head to her car.

A short time after, Debbie leaves her car in a nearby parking lot and goes to Stu’s house. Once she goes inside, she finally comes face to face with Ghostface, who is standing on the exact same spot where he was shot in the head by Sidney. However, his back is facing her. Debbie says “Billy!” and he turns around. Debbie tells Ghostface to take off the mask, and he asks what he thinks she will see if he does. Debbie replies “the face of my son” Ghostface takes off his mask, and Billy’s handsome face is exposed to her. Billy tells his mother that her son is gone, and he was gone the moment she abandoned him and Hank. He adds “As far as I’m concerned, I’m just Ghostface now”

Debbie steps closer to Billy and tells him that isn’t true, and her son is still alive. Billy remains silent. Debbie steps even closer and says that there isn’t anything for him in this path of vengeance that he’s choosing for pursue. He tells Billy that if even he kills Sidney, he’ll have nothing left. Debbie tells him that it’s not too late. She says that he can get rehabilitated and become her son again. Billy actually thinks about that. He realizes that he really would have nothing left in his life if he killed Sidney. He would have nothing else to do and nowhere to go.

Billy and Debbie stay silent, until Billy, who appears to be holding back tears, says that “It’s too late” Debbie shakes her head and tells Billy to come back, saying that she misses him. Billy shoves her back and yells that is a lie. He tells her if that was true, she wouldn’t have abandoned him. Debbie insists that she only left because of the affair, and she loves Billy more than anything. She begs him to give her a chance to be a good mother, and somehow, Billy can have a good life. Debbie notices that Billy is gripping a knife and tells him to just give it to her. Billy appears to actually be conflicted by it, as if showing emotional weakness.

He holds out his hand, and Debbie takes her hand on the knife as if to take it. For a split second, Billy’s grip on the knife loosens. However, he then tightens his grip and doesn’t let go. Debbie says that she will do anything to help her son move on from his bloodthirsty vengeance spree. Billy tells her that there is one thing she can do. Debbie asks what it is, promising to do it. Just then, Billy stabs the knife into his mother’s heart. He tells her that she can "die" Billy adds that Debbie could never be a good mother to him, and she lost that opportunity over 20 years ago.

Debbie looks at Billy, tears and horror in her eyes. Debbie proceeds to stroke her son’s cheek for the last time, and Billy actually lets her do it. Debbie then collapses to the ground, and her eyes roll over. Debbie Salt-Loomis, estranged mother of Billy Loomis, and ex-wife of Hank Loomis, is dead. Billy looks at her corpse with the slightest hint of sorrow, now that his last emotional connection to sanity is gone. After about 10 seconds of looking, Billy proceeds to turn around and leave, ready to finish what he started, not caring what happens after, only that he finally kills Sidney and takes his revenge.

Billy takes the car that he stole from Alex and proceeds to drive up to Justin’s house. However, as he’s almost there, he turns off the lights and leaves the car out of sight, clearly not wanting to alert anybody to his presence, at least not yet. Billy shields himself in the woods surrounding the area and looks around the house. Gale, Dewey, and Sidney are all outside, standing guard (Randy and Negan are inside). Billy notices that Sidney is patrolling the back alone and makes a text to her. Sidney soon sees the text and answers it.

The text tells her to go into the woods in front of her, or Billy’s coming over there. Wanting to be sure her family and friends are safe, Sidney advances into the woods, apparently unarmed. However, we see that she has a gun in her pocket (given to her by Dewey). As Sidney starts to pull it out, she is suddenly hit with a tranquillizer dart (from the tranquilizer that Alex gave Billy). Billy comes out and approaches Sidney. As she passes out, he says “Thanks for the gun” and pulls her out of sight. With Sidney temporarily incapacitated, and Billy having a much better weapon, Billy discards the tranquilizer and heads toward the house. Clearly, he’s saving Sidney for last, and he wants to kill as many people as she cares about first. Smash to black.

Chapter 9

We open outside the house, where Dewey is making a phone call while Gale keeps looking out. Dewey is calling Lockett, that cop that we saw at the beginning of chapter 2. Dewey tells Lockett that if he, Negan and many of Sidney's friends should die for any reason, he wants him to give Sidney some information. Lockett asks what he would like to give her. As Dewey tells him, Billy sneaks up to the back of the house. Sidney was the only one guarding the back, and thus, he is able to get to the back door unseen. Billy slowly opens the door and gains access to the house.

Billy sneaks his way through and notices Maureen and Kelly sitting on a couch and eating some popcorn with Randy and Negan. They are watching a horror TV show called the Crusade of the Shadow Captains. Scott shouts “Go Melody! Kick your dad’s ass!” (Referring to Logan in the season 1 finale). Billy decides to save them for later and goes upstairs. He places his ear on the bathroom door and hears Bella washing her hands. Billy knocks on the door, and Bella tells him to wait. Billy knocks some more times, which annoys Bella and gets her to open the door.

Once Bella does this, Billy jumps in and pins Bella to the ground, kicking the door close. Bella pleads for her life and starts to cry. Billy moves his knife to her cheeks and says “So pretty” He tilts his head, examining her. Bella cries as Billy examines her, as if to rape Bella. Eventually, Billy decides that he doesn’t have time for that and proceeds to stab Bella in the throat, before stabbing her in the eyes as well. Bella Taylor, girlfriend of Justin Foley, is dead. Billy then proceeds to exit the bathroom and look at two bedrooms, wondering which to go into.

Eventually, he picks the one on the right and sees Justin, who is waiting for Bella to come back. Justin is confused at first, but asks if Bella is playing a trick on him. Billy goes along with it and nods his head. Justin then tells “Bella” to take off the costume, as the adults would viciously tackle her if they saw her in that. Billy shakes his head “no” Justin says that he’ll take it off for her then. He takes off the mask and is horrified to see Billy instead of Bella under it. He goes to stab Justin, but Justin grabs Billy’s wrist and they start struggling.

Billy knows that he needs to wrap this up quickly before he attracts any attention. He picks up a baseball bat near him and smacks Justin in the head, knocking him down. He then jumps on Justin and strangles him while repeatedly banging his head against the floor. Justin doesn't have the strength to get out of it and is strangled to death. Justin Foley, boyfriend of Bella Taylor, is dead. Billy says “Two down, four to go” (referring to the kids). He heads out the bedroom and picks into the second one. Scott and Ken are in there, talking about their crushes.

Scott and Ken say that they had great fun on their date last night. Scott says that he sees a lot of similarities to this and the finale of Billy’s first spree. He tells him that the only difference that he can think of is that a couple are supposed to be having sex when they are interrupted by the killer. Ken tells Scott that there’s no way he’s having sex with him, but maybe with Kelly. Billy muses to himself that maybe he should wait until they have sex. Scott recommends that they hold off sex until Billy is caught, unless he wants to disobey the rules. Ken says that he could hold it off until then. Of course, Billy, not waiting, bursts into the room, which shocks Ken and Scott.

Billy jumps on Scott and tries to stab him. Ken grabs Billy’s arm and holds him back. Billy does a backwards headbutt on Ken and knocks him back. Scott punches Billy in the chest and proceeds to attack him, but is no match for the much older and determined adult. Billy slashes Scott in the stomach and stabs him in the chest. Scott gasps. Ken jumps back up onto Billy’s back. Billy throws him off and pulls his knife out of Scott’s chest. He slashes the knife across Ken’s eyes, which makes him scream in pain, which can be heard from downstairs.

However, the movie that Maureen, Kelly, Randy and Negan are watching is loud, so they can’t hear the screaming. Billy watches Ken squirm around for a little bit, but eventually grabs him and proceeds to violently snap his neck. Ken Butler, boyfriend of Kelly Meeks, is dead. Billy proceeds to open a window and throw Ken’s corpse out of it. He looks over at Scott, who appears to be going limp. Billy decides not to finish off Scott, instead leaving him to die and going downstairs to finish the rest. He spies on Maureen, Kelly, Randy and Negan and contemplates attacking them all at once. Just then, Randy asks Kelly to get some beer from the garage, and she says sure. Billy says “Tatum Riley 2.0, here I come”

Kelly goes to the garage, closely followed by Billy. She goes to the fridge and gets some out. However, when she tries to leave, the door won’t open. So, Kelly opens the garage and attempts to leave from there (Dewey and Gale don’t see it, since the garage is at the side of the house). However, the garage door closes, and Kelly turns to see Billy at the switch. Kelly asks “Is that you Ken?” and Billy shakes his head no. Kelly just rolls her eyes and says that she knows that’s the Ghostface costume.

She tries to leave, but Billy doesn’t let her go. Kelly asks “Oh, you wanna play psycho killer? (Billy nods) Oh, let me do my best Tatum Riley expression…PLEASE don’t kill me, Mr. Ghostface, I wanna be the SEQUEL!” Billy is heard chuckling behind the mask, remembering Tatum’s death and how eager he is to repeat it. He then slashes Kelly’s arm without letting her say anything else, causing her to scream and drop the bottles. Kelly then realizes that this is no prank at all, and she is being attacked.

Billy goes to stab her, but Kelly grabs the fridge door and slams it into Billy’s head. Billy then remembers how much Tatum beat him up, and tries to remember what else happened. Kelly then picks up some bottles and throws them at Billy. This time, Billy is able to dodge them. Seeing that she isn’t getting anywhere, Kelly jumps toward the doggie door in the garage door and attempts to escape through there. Billy crosses his arms and waits, certain that Kelly will get stuck and he can crush her head like he did to Tatum. He says to himself Tatum’s kill was his favorite and the most creative.

However, Kelly is easily able to fit through the doggie door and is able to escape outside. Billy is both shocked and furious about this. Not only is he denied the opportunity to reenact his favorite murder, but now Kelly is going to alert every one of his presence. He then takes out the gun he took from Sidney and decides there will be no more sneaking around. Meanwhile, Maureen, Randy and Negan have finished watching the Crusade of the Shadow Captains season 1 finale. Maureen says that Logan was one fucked up dad.

Negan and Randy agree and say that they will never be like him. Just then, they hear groaning and see Scott, who is bloody but alive, stumbling and crawling down the stairs. Maureen, Randy and Negan immediately help him and ask what happened. A weak Scott mutters that “Billy’s here” A horrified Randy says that they need to get help, now. However, before he can. Billy runs into the room and aims his gun at Maureen and Scott. He fires the gun and hits someone in the forehead as Randy and Negan shout. However, before we see who was hit, we cut to black.

Chapter 10

Right as the chapter left off, Billy shoots at Maureen and Scott, and the bullet flies toward Maureen’s head. However, Negan jumps in the way and gets shot in the head, saving his daughter. Negan Bishop, husband of Sidney Prescott-Bishop and father of Maureen Bishop, is dead. Randy, Scott and Maureen are all horrified by this, but Randy, knowing that he has no time to lose, grabs Maureen and Scott and rushes upstairs. Billy shoots Negan in the head again to make sure he is dead (since he survived the same thing) before chasing them upstairs.

Meanwhile, Dewey is talking to someone else on his phone and says “I told Lockett to call you, and I’m glad he did. It’s just, in case I, Negan and most of the people Sidney cares about don’t make it out, I want her to have a happy ending. If I don’t make out of here alive, I want you to ensure Sidney recovers for me. I want you to-“ Just then, Kelly runs up to Dewey and Gale, crying and screaming. Dewey quickly hangs up, and he and Gale ask Kelly what happened. Kelly yells that Billy is in the house, and Dewey shouts for Sidney, but with no response.

Dewey tells Gale to go get Kelly out of here while he goes inside. Gale says that he’s not letting him go in alone, and the gunshot that killed Negan is heard. Dewey yells that they can’t argue right now and rushes inside. Kelly tells Gale that they need to find Sidney first before they leave, and the two search for her in a hurry, shouting her name. Dewey heads inside the house and sees Billy trying to climb the stairs. Billy notices him too and draws his gun. Dewey takes cover behind the couch as Billy opens the fire. Dewey and Billy engage in a gunfight. Randy, Maureen and Scott take cover in one of the bedrooms to avoid the gunfire.

Billy says that he remembers stabbing Dewey in the back, and that was awesome, but this will do. He also assures Dewey that he won’t leave him this time. Dewey says that Billy just caught him off-guard and this time will be different. Dewey and Billy continue exchanging gunfire. Meanwhile, Gale and Kelly look around and come across Ken’s body (which landed in the back of the house). Kelly screams and runs up to her dead boyfriend. She starts to cry, and Gale tries to comfort her, but knows that they don’t have time.

Just then, she notices the unconscious Sidney. Gale runs up to Sidney and tries shaking to get her awake, but with no success, while Kelly continues to mourn Ken. Gale yells that they need to get Sidney awake, and she knows that Kelly is sad, but they need to do it. Although wanting to mourn more, Kelly understands the urgency of the situation and helps Gale examine Sidney. Kelly concludes that they need to slap her awake, and Gale reluctantly begins to slap Sidney repeatedly to force her awake.

Back in the house, Dewey and Billy continue their gunfight, until both have to stop to reload. Billy uses this brief window of time to run up to Dewey and, after reloading, shoot him twice in the chest. Dewey, still alive since he’s wearing a vest, attempts to shoot Billy, but Billy repositions his gun and shoots Dewey in the head. Dewey Riley, husband of Gale Weathers-Riley, father of Scott Riley, and survivor, is dead. Billy prides himself on killing his first official survivor (Cotton didn’t count as much to him). He then proceeds to head upstairs to gun down the rest.

Meanwhile, Randy, Maureen and Scott notice Justin’s corpse in the room they are hiding in, which horrifies them. Maureen assumes that this means Bella, Kelly and Ken are dead as well, and is Scott too injured to reply. Randy refuses to believe that and they need to find Kelly and get out of here while Billy is distracted. There are no windows, so the trio head for the 2nd bedroom to climb out. They come across Bella’s corpse in the bathroom along the way. Randy peeks out the window and yells at Kelly and Gale, who are still trying to wake up Sidney.

Gale yells and asks if Scott is up there, and Randy confirms that he is alive. Gale tells him to lower Maureen and Scott, and she and Dewey will distract Billy. Randy says that’s crazy, but Gale just tells him to get her son out alive. Randy takes a blanket from the bed and tells Maureen and Scott that he’ll lower them down. Scott, clinging to consciousness, grabs on the blanket and struggles not to let go. Meanwhile, Kelly repeatedly slaps Sidney to wake her up, and finally, her eyes open. Sidney sits up and asks what happened.

Kelly informs her that Billy has attacked, and Randy is trying to make sure Maureen and Scott are lowered down safely. Sidney rushes to the window and gets ready to catch Scott if he falls from the blanket. Ultimately, Scott loses unconscious due to blood loss and starts to fall, but Sidney is able to catch him. She yells at Randy to lower Maureen next. Meanwhile, back downstairs, Gale rushes inside, just in time to see Billy shoot Dewey in the head and kill him. Gale screams in horror at this.

Billy notices her and says that she’s ranked just below Sidney on his kill list, due to all the trouble she caused him at his reveal. Billy attempts to shoot her, but is out of bullets, then tries to stab her. Gale, however, fights back and knocks the knife out of his hand. Gale proceeds to attack Billy and punch and kick him repeatedly. It’s the first hand to hand combat challenge that Billy gets. He was able to knock her out easily 20 years ago, but Gale has matured since then.

Gale is actually starting to kick Billy’s ass, and even gets a kick to the groin. Billy, however, gets infuriated. He considers using the combat enhancer pills that Alex gave him, but decides that now isn’t the best time, wanting to save it for Sidney. Billy and Gale proceed to throw punches, with Billy saying “You think I won’t hit a girl?” Eventually Gale kicks Billy in the ground, but he leg sweeps her, causing Gale to fall too. Billy notices that they are in front of the TV and gets an idea. Billy stomps on Gale’s chest, stunning her momentarily to make her stay down.

Billy then grabs the TV and says “Dying was the best thing that happen you, Stu” before throwing it onto Gale’s face. Gale screams as the TV lands on her head and electrocutes her to death in the exact same manner Stu Macher died. Gale Weathers-Riley, mother of Scott Reed, wife of Dewey Riley, and survivor, is dead. Billy looks extremely proud of this kill, not only because of the irony, but because it was his most creative after being denied using Tatum’s death on Gale. Billy then goes upstairs to confront Randy, Maureen and Scott.

At this point, Randy is finishing lowering Maureen. Sidney hugs her daughter before telling Randy to come down. Randy ties the blanket to the window and tries to lower himself down. However, before he can do this, Billy bursts in the room and throws the spike that Alex gave him into Randy’s head. Randy Meeks, survivor and father of Kelly Meeks is dead. Kelly screams “DADDY!!!” and everyone else is just about as horrified. Billy walks up to the window and proceeds to smirk at Sidney before walking out of sight.

Sidney, believing that Billy is coming outside, grabs the unconscious Scott and rushes to Dewey and Gale’s car (parked outside). Maureen is forced to half-drag the screaming and hysterical Kelly just to get her into the car. Maureen gets into the driver’s seat, and Kelly and Scott are in the car. However, Sidney remains outside. Maureen yells at her to get in. Sidney replies “No. I have a little business to attend to” Maureen screams at her mother to get in. Sidney tells Maureen that she can’t let Billy go again, and orders her to head to the hospital without her.

Maureen doesn’t want to leave her mother behind. Sidney tells her daughter that she should have shot Billy twice in the head that day, and now he’s killing everyone she loves. She says that she’s putting an end to it and points out how injured Scott is. Sidney insists that Maureen needs to get him to the hospital now before he bleeds out. Knowing that she can’t convince her otherwise, Maureen makes Sidney swear that she will survive. She then drives off with Scott and Kelly. Sidney then looks at the house and begins walking toward it, ready for the final showdown. Cut to black.

Chapter 11

Picking up where the last chapter left off, Sidney starts walking toward Justin’s house now that her daughter, Scott and Kelly have been evacuated safely. She is hoping that there are some other people alive in the house to help her (Sidney didn’t have time to question Maureen where the others were). Once inside, she instantly spots Dewey and Gale’s corpses, and is totally devastated. Sidney also notices the TV over Gale’s head, triggering a brief flashback to Stu’s death. She notices the irony that she killed Billy’s friend Stu with a TV and now Billy killed her friend Gale with a TV.

Sidney cries over Gale and Dewey, tells them that Scott got out safe, and they didn’t die for nothing. She says that she’ll make sure Scott lives a happy life. Then, Sidney turns around and notices Negan’s body. She immediately bursts into tears over her husband’s corpse. She says “Not you too, Jack” (Yes, Negan’s real name is Jack. Who would name their son Negan?). Sidney buries her face into Jack’s body and sobs for about a minute. Billy watches her from a corner and smiles, amused at her pain and suffering. Eventually, Billy decides he’s seen enough and walks away, but also takes out the combat enhancement pills, deciding that it’s time to use them.

About 30 seconds later, Sidney gets up and tells Jack that she will raise Maureen, and his death won’t be in vain. Just then, she gets a text, and the ID reads “Randy Meeks” (Billy is using Randy’s phone). The texts says “Go the backyard, unless you want your daughter’s head on a spike the next day” Sidney now has a determined look on her eyes. She’s finally going to face down Billy Loomis and stop him for good. Sidney searches for Dewey’s gun and finds it, hoping to use it to shoot Billy in the head twice. However, Sidney finds out that it’s not loaded (Billy emptied it off-screen).

Sidney then goes the kitchen and gets a knife to use. However, another text from Billy tells her “No cheating. Throw that thing away or I’m not coming out” Sidney sighs and throws the knife away. She doesn’t want to face Billy unarmed, but there’s no way she’s going to let him get away again. Sidney is fine with killing Billy with her bare hands if she needs to, anything to stop him for good. She stretches out her limbs in preparation before heading outside. She hears a familiar voice say “Hey Sid”

Sidney turns out around to find Billy, who is leaning against the wall of the house and using the voice modulator. He also doesn’t have his Ghostface costume on, and is now wearing clothes similar to what he used in the original film. Billy tosses the voice modulator aside and asks Sidney how she’s doing. Sidney tells Billy that he should have stayed in jail. Billy laughs and says that there was no way he was just going to let Sidney ruin his life without consequences. Sidney yells that Billy ruined her life first.

She tells him that he should have kept his feelings to himself, and they were having a great relationship together until he revealed himself. Billy rolls his eyes and says that Sidney probably would have cheated on him with someone else like Maureen Sr. did. He reminds her how quick she was to accuse him of being the killer when Sidney was first attacked by Stu. Sidney tells Billy that she wasn’t like that and she never cheated on Jack, and it’s his fault that he was shot and thrown in jail. She tells him he could have had a good life with his dad, and his mother still loved him, despite Debbie leaving him.

Billy does admit that he knows Debbie loved him, and reveals to her that she is dead. Sidney calls Billy a “monster” Billy chuckles and says “You think?” He recounts everything that he’s done, including killing his own savior. He tells her that Alex was much more helpful than Stu, reveals that he took the pills, and explains how they help him fight. Billy then pulls out his knife and asks for any last words. Sidney gulps, knowing it’s going to be a difficult battle, but not backing down. Sidney gets into a fighting stance and tells Billy that he’s not going to let him hurt anyone anymore. Billy says “Yeah you are”

Billy then sprints toward Sidney and tries to stab her, but Sidney grabs his wrist and tries to disarm him of the knife, which she successfully does. She then punches Billy in the jaw and knees him in the stomach. Billy punches Sidney in the face twice and kicks out her feet. Sidney kicks his out as well, before noticing a nearby tree branch. She goes to grab it, but Billy grabs her foot. Sidney squirms off her shoe and breaks free, but then Billy grabs her bare foot. Annoyed, Sidney yells “Piss off!” She lifts up her other leg and kicks Billy in the face twice. Billy then grabs her kicking leg, saying “I’ll piss off when you’re dead, you stupid bitch”

Sidney squirms off her other shoe to get free, and she and Billy get up. They trade punches to the face, and soon blood gets on their faces. Sidney grabs Billy’s arm and bites into it. Billy screams out, but since the pills numb pain, Billy punches her in the forehead and forces her to stop biting him. Sidney then resorts to poking Billy’s eye, which disorients him. Sidney kicks Billy in the face, then jumps up and delivers a roundhouse kick. She swings her leg back and kicks Billy again. He staggers near a tree. Sidney grabs him and slams his head against it twice.

At this point, Billy is now truly furious at getting his ass handed to him, especially when he’s so close at getting revenge. He kicks Sidney in the stomach, grabs her, and proceeds to put her in a head lock. Sidney yells at Billy to get the fuck off of her. Billy says “no” before grabbing her head, as if to break her neck. However, Sidney launches her head backwards and slams Billy’s nose, which breaks it. Billy screams in both pain and increasing anger. He punches Sidney in the face as hard as he can, which breaks her nose as well.

Sidney takes a few moments to tolerate the pain, but Billy launches toward her. Sidney also launches at Billy and begins digging her fingernails into his face. Billy screams out. At this point, there is blood all over Billy’s face. Billy twists her hand smacks her hard in the face, then knees her in the chest. Sidney is becoming increasingly bloody and exhausted. Billy is about the same, but his pills make sure he can endure it better than her. Sidney kicks Billy in the face, knocking him back, and goes for a punch, but Billy dodges it. He elbows Sidney in the face, and she almost falls to the ground.

Sidney is just about out of energy, and desperately tries to think of somehow to overpower her psychotic boyfriend. Just then, she has an idea. Sidney calls Billy a “rat-looking, homo-repressed mama's boy” to trigger him, and Billy rushes to strangle her. However, Sidney lands a punch on Billy’s throat, which hurts severely, and not even the pills can cover that up, since the throat is such a vital area. Sidney kicks Billy to the ground and jumps on his head, breaking his jaw. She then proceeds to kick Billy several more times in the side and head, and finally, he is unconscious.

Billy also appears to be dead, due to the amount of brutal hits Sidney got on him, but Sidney doesn’t take that chance. She thinks about how she can make sure Billy stays dead this time. Just then, Sidney gets an idea. She puts her shoes back on and drags the unconscious Billy into the house. Sidney takes a meat cleaver from the kitchen, says “No final scares this time” and repeatedly hacks in Billy’s throat until he is decapitated. Billy Loomis, son of Hank and Debbie Loomis, ex-boyfriend of Sidney Prescott, and the killer of the story, is dead, for REAL this time.

Sidney takes a few deep breaths while looking at Billy’s corpse, as if expecting it to pop up. When it does not, she goes to the sink and proceeds to wash the blood off of her. Still weak, and seeing the corpses of her friends around her, Sidney goes to the front porch and sits there. She hears police sirens coming, and knows that Maureen most likely called them over. Sidney also notices that the sunrise has come and smiles, signaling the end of her journey in horror films. She smiles as the police arrive and the sun rises, a small smile, but a smile nevertheless. Cut to black.

Chapter 12

We open on a few days after the final battle at the hospital, where a recovering Scott is about to be released, and is greeted by Kelly, Maureen and Sidney. Scott still laments the loss of his parents and says that he can’t believe Dewey and Gale are both gone. Sidney says that she still can’t believe it either, as well as everyone else who died, especially Jack. Scott asks what he will do now, since both his parents and his aunt are dead. Maureen asks Sidney if Scott could stay with them. She thinks about it, and Maureen insists that it needs to happen. Kelly agrees with this.

Soon enough, Sidney agrees to let Scott stay in her home, saying it’s what Dewey and Gale would have wanted, and he thanks her. Kelly tells Sidney that she’s sorry about Jack, and Maureen mentions to Sidney that Jack gave his life to save her. Sidney says that Jack was the best husband she could ask for, and Maureen agrees that Jack was also a great father. Sidney promises that she’ll raise Scott and Maureen, but admits that she hasn’t recovered emotionally yet. Just then, Lockett, the cop from chapter 2, comes up and asks if he can talk to Sidney.

Lockett tells Sidney that he knows that Dewey was very fond of her, and Sidney says that they were great friends 20 years ago and now. Lockett says that Dewey wanted to give her a phone number in case he didn’t make it, and gives her a small piece of paper. He tells her that Dewey wants her to be able to recover and live a good life, and the person who Sidney will be calling can help with that. Sidney asks who she will be calling, and Lockett replies “a friend of Dewey’s” before walking away. Sidney goes back to Maureen and Scott and prepares to take them home. First, Sidney tells Kelly that she’s sorry about Randy and Ken’s deaths.

Kelly reveals that her mom, Karen Kolchek (who divorced Randy), is coming back to take care of her, so she won’t need to be adopted, but thanks Sidney for her sympathy. Sidney asked why they divorced. Kelly says that it’s a bit complicated, but assures Sidney that Karen still loves her and is a good mother, like Debbie was. She states that she is glad that it’s finally over, and Scott, Maureen and Sidney agree as well. The Woodsboro Four then proceed to leave the hospital and head back home. About 2 days later, Sidney drives up to a building, and talks to a clerk on the front desk. She asks where Room 13 is, and the Clerk gives her directions.

Sidney goes to Room 13, knocks on the door, and hears someone say “Come in” She walks in and says that she got his phone number from Dewey. The person inside turns at Sidney, and introduces himself as KEVIN ANDREWS. He tells her that he and Dewey used to be best buddies in high school, and both are big fans of being police. Kevin also tells her that he became a therapist after his police career, while Dewey opted to be sheriff. He says that for Dewey’s sake, he’ll help her get better. Sidney thanks Kevin and sits down with him.

Kevin asks how she felt while killing Billy. Sidney admits that she did kinda enjoy it, and it was a relief to get rid of him after 20 years of worrying about him escaping from prison. She says that now that he’s gone, Sidney can focus on her family. Kevin tells her that’s exactly what he wanted to hear. He tells her that she’s matured since the first killing spree and wishes he could have been there for her then. As Kevin and Sidney talk, we zoom into Sidney’s car, where she has unintentionally left her cell phone. Suddenly, it begins ringing. The phone keeps ringing, but we never see the caller, as we suddenly cut to black, putting an end to the Scream saga. Thanks for reading.

Trivia

• DCN was originally going to write this story, but he had difficulty doing so and I asked if I could take over. He said yes, and I am now continuing the story in Donald’s place.
• DCN wrote the first three chapters, so credit for that goes to him.
• In the original Scream movie, Billy Loomis was killed by Sidney Prescott from being shot in the head. This story explains that Billy actually survived this and has been living in prison for the last twenty years.
• This story recons Scream 2, 3, and 4, which explains why Randy Meeks and Cotton Weary, both whom were killed in Scream 2 and 3, are still alive and present in this story.
• Because this story retcons Scream 3, Roman does not exist and was never the mastermind. Billy was the true mastermind of the murders. This also means there is no mysterious backstory on Maureen Prescott.
• Despite this story retconning Scream 2, I am bringing Debbie Salt-Loomis into the story. However, she is NOT a killer in this story. In this version, Debbie is a broken woman living with shame and guilt over her son's actions, which she blames herself for abandoning her son.
• There will be an emotional scene between Billy and Debbie, where the mother tries to talk sense into her killer son.
• Because this story retcons Scream 2, which had Randy killed off, Randy survives to have a daughter who is just like him. The picture used for Kelly Meeks is that of Martha Meeks, Randy's sister in Scream 3. With both sequels retcon, Martha doesn't exist.
• Because this story retcons Scream 3, Cotton lives to become Mayor of Woodsboro after milking his fame for being wrongfully accused of murder. Unlike Scream 2, there was no mending between Sidney and Cotton. There is clear anomosity between them in this story, despite the two never interacting in this story.
• Neither Hank Loomis or Neil Prescott appear in this story. This is to focus on the tragic story on Debbie, caused by her husband's infidelity and her son's murder spree. It's also to make it more sad for Sidney that her daughter Maureen has no living grandparents.
• At least one survivor will be killed off with the possibility of more. There are five survivors present in this story; Sidney, Dewey, Gale, Randy, and Cotton. Cotton is considered a survivor due to him being exonerated from being put to death by the events of the first movie.
• This will be a one time story, with no sequels.
• It's up to you to interpret the phone call at the end, which is supposed to make the story go full circle.
